This movie tells the story of a disaster at sea. The film itself is nearly a disaster if not for the special effects. There is nothing spectacular about the story line. There is a father and daughter relationship, jilted lovers, non-committal singles. I guess the audience can expect a morbid kind of happy ending with disaster movies, albeit with many victims sacrificed along the way. I could not see any difference with this version of a disaster. I was impressed by the instinct for survival of the main group. Most probably in real life there will be a few who will emerge winners despite any adversity thrown into their path. Enjoy the trauma, claustrophobia and adrenalin rush but do not expect a cerebral celebration.
