This is a mother extraordinaire. The story spans the years from the last years of the Iran-Iraq war until the years of the first Iraq war. The first part shows how she accompanies her pregnant daughter back to Teheran to find her son-in-law. The second part shows how she cares for her disabled son. Her strength and fortitude despite the odds seems superhuman. I'm sure there are many mothers who are in the same predicament. Their children will always be a priority. Gilaneh's sacrifices are further heightened by the times - the war which always affect the common folks the most.
