The other title for this French thriller is Cache. The past catches up with the main character who seems to be a typical intellectual with a wife and son.The film starts with him receiving a videotape showing the front of his house and the daily movements of his family. His memory is jolted back to the past when he received another videotape showing his birthplace.Now the pace moves a bit faster with events of the past mingling with his current dilemma. The dialogue shows how he has almost obliterated the past but the videotapes and drawings has nixed the peaceful family life.In the end, we're still unsure of who started the ball rolling to disturb the hidden past.
